Getting Started With Trade Shows

getting started with trade shows

What are some of the first things I need to know when I’ve been handed the responsibility of planning a trade show?

If you’ve been handed the responsibility of a trade show, and you haven’t been given the contract, get your hands on it. Your exhibitor contract will tell you what the show provides, critical information like your booth number, booth dimensions and when balance payments are due. Know, and note, all of this before you start. Booth dimensions (ie 10×10, 10×20, 20×20, 20×30 etc) indicate the amount of space you are allocated. The show organizer is giving you the footprint measurements, and it’s important to know what height and design build restrictions apply.
